Episode 107: IMS Ibiza Special with George Clinton, Pete Tong and Manu Gonzales

For the past 2 years, there has been one event missing from the Ibiza calendar. The International Music summit was out of action since 2019 but will be making a return this spring a month earlier than usual.
Many are taking this as a sign the season will be longer and more busy then ever before.

To mark the occasion in todays episode, we go back in time to 2014, when I attended the legends awards dinner with Simon Le Bon, Nile rogers and George Clinton, the godfather of funk and hear how he Reset his path in life at the grand old age of 69 to give up smoking crack and make new music.

Plus we hear from Pete Tong, co founder of the summit on receiving an MBE and why they set the event up as an alternative to the hall of fame for EDM.

For the first time the IMS will have a ‘no-panel’ policy and instead hold a series of keynotes, lectures, conversations, workshops, and sessions with industry leaders, with wellness playing a key part in proceedings and the narrative this year at Destino, so we finish with Ibiza born DJ Manu Gonzales on how he stays healthy living his life on tour and in night clubs and keeps things on track so he can stay on top of his game, as an artist.
